Why Blog?

For my parents

I’ve been living away from my parents since I moved to university when I was about 18. Since then I rarely see them, and there are little means practically and financially for me to do so. I do pray that I would be a better daughter to them and that I would learn to honor and love them in a way my Lord desires me to. This is a way for me to be a little closer to home to them, to keep them updated on where I am and what I’m up to.

To document

Being fallen and wretched I do forget a lot of what the Jesus does for me. Blogging is my way to keep track, writing is a way for me to meditate on His works and what He teaches me. It’s also to document my desires and see them miraculously realized by God, and way to remind myself that this really is His commission on my life, not my own.

An encouragement to others

Now this is a bit of a stretch, but I’d be cool if this site served a purpose to serve others, to encourage them and witness to them how absolutely faithful Jesus is and how real He is.

For my understanding

My mind is like a bowl of noodles. Forcing myself to articulate myself in a linear and coherrent fashion helps me slow down and digest things. It helps me think and understand if I am made to use one sentence at a time.

I’m a geek

I love my Mac, I love building and developing basic systems and integrating stuff together, messing about on CS3, and amateurish graphic design. I love digital photography and hope to get back it to it more. If I had time I would make really dumb stop motion animations. This website is where I get to just geek out to all that and consolidate it in to one friendly all-in-one package.
